Microgaming Network Bans Rakeback Promotions

The once bustling Microgaming Network (formally Prima Poker Network) has put yet another nail in the coffin of its own poker sites and network by banning the promotions of rakeback and VIP deals and making a blacklist of affiliate sites.

Microgaming has blacklisted a large number (over 100) of affiliate sites that offer rakeback and VIP deals including Rakeback.com, Rakebrain.com, Pokerlistings.com and Rakebackmypoker.com.

As a New years gift to its poker sites from the 1st of January 2009 any Microgaming Poker Site found promoting their brand on any of the blacklisted affiliate sites will face heavy fines and could go as far as being excluded from the network, Microgaming Poker sites may not even list Bonus deals on the blacklisted sites.

The Microgaming Network is no stranger to making damaging knee-jerk reactions with little or no regard for its own poker sites and players on the Network.

The Microgaming Network has already lost huge player numbers through the exclusions of any new USA players and its poor introduction of an IP address block on its listed banned US States that excluded a high proportion of legal US players also.

Earlier this year Microgaming Froze Funds of players on 28 poker sites on its network without warning, when they found a 3rd party processor Tusk to have insufficient funds to cover all players balances forcing Tusk into liquidation.

Poker players are still yet to see any money to cover their losses from the failed poker sites and the Microgaming Network have shown no interest to help with the issue,

It is a shame that the owners of the Microgaming Network could not have used some of the 17%+ that they take from all the rake generated from the failed sites to cover players funds.

Just when it looked like it could get no worse for the Microgaming Network Poker Sites and players Microgaming have changed all of the Tables above $2/4$ nl to Euro tables, meaning players will pay more rake with the cap at €3 per hand, Another great move by the Network to screw the last few loyal players that have stayed.

As Poker players and affiliates we have a choice!!

Can the last one off the Microgaming Network turn out the Lights.
