RESULTS OF EVENT #9 1,500 SHORTHANDED

Well,  my first live tourney went okay. I played really well up until dinner break.  It seemed like I couldn't do a thing right after I got back from dinner, and I had two really tough players to my left.  Bill Chen (well known high stakes pro who is in his mid 50's) especially made my life miserable as he seemed to defend virtually 100% of his big blinds when I opened and never missed a flop.  There was 1,400 entrants and I busted somewhere around 200 something place.  Bill Chen read my soul making a pretty good call (or it was a tilt call because he lost like 60% of his chips the hand before) against me to bust me.  Alright, that's enough about poker.

I really miss my girlfriend, family and friends and the east coast lifestyle I have.  But it's so awesome here - the thing I love best is the weather.  Everyday has been beautiful so far and the people are super friendly.  So far I am definitely enjoying the house and this trip overall.

It's back to the Rio for a 2,500 buyin event tommorrow starting at noon.  I'll try and give an update sometime then.
