RESULTS OF VENETIAN DEEPSTACK
Unfortunately my day was very short lived and I busted 17th place out of about 600 something. Can't say I am dissapointed with the way I played so I am not upset or anything. $1600 profit + the $1000 I made during the dinner break. It's so hard for me to justify playing these smaller tournaments as my hourly winrate is almost as much as the top 20 payouts. It exhausting to play tournaments for hours on end and fall wayyy short of your goals. Oh well, such as life and you live and you learn. I think I'll be sticking to the RIO WSOP tournaments since they have way more value for what I am looking to achieve(I want a bracelet!!). The Venetian has proved to me they know how to run a great tournament, and I would highly reccomend anyone who is a growing their bankroll to play in them.
There is no WSOP events tommorrow that I can play in so I am probably going to play some cash games (hopefully with Jose Canseco ... he's a huge fish and plays at the Venetian all the time). I plan on ordering a new laptop in the next few days .. some of my good friends from home ... ehmm Richie ... and some friends here in Vegas have convinced me to finally step into the dark side and buy a macbook pro. What sealed the deal is the new 8 hour battery life. As a poker player who travels I can't think of anything more important then laptop battery lifespan, and my current laptop is deteriorating rather quickly.
I have been trying alot of new places to eat lately and Chipotle is now one of my favorite places for quick and delicious mexican food. MMMM... as long as you can deal with about 2 hours in the bathroom afterwards lol .. Me, Josh, Craig and Ryan have been going there often recently.
I miss my B-ruuuk and Scout and I can't wait to see both of them next week. I really hope my family decides to fly out so I can see them and hang out for a few nights with them! Ciao!
