6 WEEKS OF GRINDING

Hey Everybody,

I wasn't sure if I was going to do a blog, but after reading my roomie's first post he has semi-inspired me to document my trip to Vegas as well. Also, I feel like this is a good way to make my friends/family and especially girlfriend feel a little closer to me while I am away.

For those who don't know I will be going out to Vegas for 6weeks in search of winning a live poker tournament (World Series of Poker). I will be living approx. 15 minutes off strip in a beautiful mansion with 4 other poker players/close friends. The trip should be packed with fun prop bets, lots of bad beats, some partying, but mostly alot of damn poker playing (and hopefully lots of monies too!).

For the past two years I have been a professional poker player, mostly playing online and splashing around the live circuit here and there. This will be the first time I am planning on playing most of the smaller buyin events and not just the Main Event. I am hoping to really show that I am capable of crushing the live tournament fields as I believe they are much softer then the current online games that I play in everyday.

This is a graph of the last 50k hands I have played online so far in 2009. I play high stakes heads up and shorthanded games.

I am flying out June 1st and will be adding entries to this blog daily whenever I have the free time.

Thanks for reading,

Joe

Rakebackmypoker Professional Dave Schnettler

World Series Of Poker 2007(WSOP) Final table achiever Dave Schnettler has joined Rakebackmypoker.

Schnettler will provide his expert help and advice for poker players of all levels for free on the Poker forum for members.

Dave Schnettler was 8th in the WSOP 2007 event #47 $2,000 NLHE cashed over $55,000

Dave Schnettler above at WSOP 2007Dave (red top) Playing Legend Doyle Brunson Irish Open 2008

Dave who grew up in Minnesota says "I started out as a limit player, because that's all Canterbury Park (the states only casino with poker) spreads is limit hold'em. The very beginning of my poker career started with 2/4 limit hold'em cash games in the High School cafeteria and at friends houses on weekends."

Schnettler then started to play limit hold'em seriously online for about 2.5 years, from the senior year of High School through half of sophomore year of college and goes on to say, " I was a regular in games up to 30/60 limit hold'em with shots as high as 100/200 limit hold'em on Party Poker and Empire Poker."

"As the limit games dried up I gradually switched over to no limit cash games in the spring semester of 2006, I played 2/4nl and 3/6nl on Party until it shut its doors to US players in the fall of 2006. I then moved to Poker Stars and played 2/4 no limit hold'em there until I graduated from college in spring of 2007."

With no school to worry about, Dave really started to focus on improving his game and decided to start 3-4 tabling 2/4nl on Cake Poker with rake back instead of 6-8 tabling on Poker Stars without. Schnettler says, "This cutback in the number of tables I was playing took my game to a whole new level, I also quickly realized the importance of rake back adding a huge boost to my bankroll.

Dave says, "I fully recommend all players in talking to the Rakebackmypoker Team about their many rake back deals".

"With all of this I quickly progressed from 2/4nl to 25/50nl with occasional shots at 50/100nl. Meanwhile reviving my limit game a bit by jumping in the 50/100 and 100/200 limit games on Cake when they run.

I currently play 5/10-50/100 no limit hold'em on Cake, 24Poker, Carbon Poker, Absolute Poker , Ultimate Bet, and occasionally Fulltiltpoker."

Another thing that has really helped Daves game is living with two friends from High School that are also professional poker players, he constantly discusses hands and theories with them as well as his younger brother, the renowned tourney shark and Cardrunners Pro Jschnett.

This all showed Dave how important it is to have others to help look at hands and situations to progress in poker, He then decided to start teaching others and has been doing so over the past year.

Dave Schnettler will offer private tuition sessions at an hourly $ rate for players of all levels, and can be arranged through Rakebackmypoker.

As a coach Dave says "I am available for real time input, I use skype and remote viewing software, that can go in either direction, I also offer hand history analysis/discussion/review, and general theory/strategy discussions.
